Programs and Classes

Our Programs

We run small group tutoring all year round, and teach the following subjects.

Our tutors are extremely specialised and are from the most prestigious schools in NSW.

  • We teach a variety of topic in our maths lessons based on your child’s abilities, stengths and weaknesses. We hope to bring the abilities of students above their grade level, making life at school, exams and competitions much easier.

  • Writing can be complicated and confusing for a lot of students. Our lessons will introduce students to more complex techniques that are often not discussed in school, as well as the most effecive structures to use in exams and assignments.

  • We are running both a Book Study and a Poetry Class to help with comprehension style questions in exams such as Naplan, ICAS, as well as OC and Selective.

The book for this term’s book study is “The Maze Runner” by James Dashner.

  • The Opportunity Class Exam is an entrance exam for NSW public schools, held anually in year 4 to give students a chance to join a class that studies more complex school work. This exam contains many skills that are not developed in class, hence, we hope to be able to help students understand the content and excel in the exam.

The OC exam tests students on math, reading and “thinking skills”.

  • In NSW, Selective High Schools are a group of the most presigious high schools, allowing students to extend their knowledge and be challenged. These high schools ensure the success of students in the long term and allow them to connect with likeminded peers.

The types of exam questions in these exams, like the OC test, are specialised and not taught in schools. We, as students who have experienced this exam firsthand, wish to reflect our knowledge to others.

The preparation of the selective exam involves difficult and challenging math questions, special types of writing as well as “thinking skills”.
